RSA SYMPOSIUM 2025 SNAPSHOT

WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?

The Regulated Substances Authority (RSA), established by the Regulated Substances Act No.26 of 2023 as a government initiative, oversees the regulation of various substances in Saint Lucia. The RSA is developing legislation to regulate the cannabis industry, ensure the safety of radioactive material, and potentially explore modern frameworks for alcohol, petroleum and explosives. The Cannabis and Industrial Hemp Bill, the latest draft circulated for public feedback, aims to balance public health and financial viability while aligning with policy directives.
