Mushrooms
This license authorizes the regulated cultivation, possession, research, importation, exportation, and distribution of controlled or psychoactive mushroom substances in accordance with the laws of Saint Lucia. License holders must comply with strict safety, storage, record-keeping, and reporting requirements to prevent misuse, diversion, or abuse. Activities are subject to inspection, monitoring, and ongoing compliance with public health, security, and ethical research standards as prescribed by the Regulated Substances Abuse Authority.
Explosives
The Explosives Licence authorizes the importation, storage, transportation, sale, and use of explosive materials in Saint Lucia. This licence ensures that all explosive-related activities comply with national safety standards and international best practices. Applicants must demonstrate secure handling procedures, appropriate storage facilities, and strict risk-mitigation protocols to protect public safety and critical infrastructure.
Cannabis
The Cannabis Licence authorizes activities involving the cultivation, processing, distribution, retail, research, or export of cannabis and industrial hemp, in accordance with the Cannabis and Industrial Hemp Bill and accompanying regulations. This licence framework is designed to balance public health, financial viability, and social equity priorities while supporting the safe development of Saint Lucia’s cannabis industry. Applicants must comply with security, traceability, product-quality, and operational standards set by the RSA.
Pesticides
This license authorizes the regulated importation, manufacture, distribution, sale, or application of pesticide products in Saint Lucia. License holders must ensure safe handling, labeling, storage, and application practices in line with environmental, agricultural, and public health standards. Compliance includes training requirements, product registration, usage reporting, and measures to prevent environmental harm or human exposure, under the supervision of the Regulated Substances Abuse Authority.
Petroleum
This license authorizes entities to import, store, transport, refine, or distribute petroleum and petroleum-based products within Saint Lucia. License holders must comply with environmental protection, fire safety, spill prevention, and hazardous materials regulations. Operations are subject to inspection and compliance audits to mitigate risks related to public safety, environmental contamination, and illegal diversion, as regulated by the Regulated Substances Abuse Authority.
Alcohol
The Alcohol Licence regulates the production, importation, distribution, and sale of alcoholic beverages. The licence ensures responsible industry practices, promotes public safety, and supports effective monitoring of alcohol-related activities. Applicants must meet operational, storage, and sales requirements established under national legislation, as well as any additional guidelines issued by the RSA as modern regulatory frameworks continue to develop.
Radiation
This license permits the controlled use, possession, storage, transport, and disposal of radioactive or ionizing radiation sources, including medical, industrial, and research applications. Licensees must implement approved radiation safety programs, ensure trained personnel, and adhere to national and international radiation protection standards. Continuous monitoring, reporting, and emergency preparedness are mandatory to safeguard public health, workers, and the environment under the oversight of the Regulated Substances Abuse Authority.
